More remains found near Lake Eufaula

We have updated information regarding human remains being found last month near the Cardinal Point area of Lake Eufaula in Pittsburg County.

It's believed the remains might belong to Holly Cantrell, who has been missing since January of 2017.

Yesterday, the Cantrell family went back out to the sight and found more bones. They also recovered material that could be something Holly was wearing when she disappeared.

Brian Smith, with the Oklahoma City Metro Search and Rescue Team, says he hopes this helps her family.

“It kind of helps them move forward,” Smith said. “To be able to help and be involved.”

So far, investigators haven't confirmed if any of the remains belong to Holly. Also, no word on a cause of death.
