The zoo’s newest addition was born on March 26.
Staff continues to closely monitor the mother, Ixchel, and her cub from remote cameras to ensure proper development and nursing.
Animal experts say the first 30 days are critical.
The cub’s sibling didn’t survive.
The mother and her cub will remain in a private, off-exhibit den in the Tropical American Rainforest.
The cub is the third jaguar born at the Tulsa Zoo.
It’s the second successful birth for Ixchel and Bebeto, the father.
