Mom arrested after 10-year-old comes to school with tattoo made of human ashes

The District Attorney in Washington County has filed charges against a mother and her friend after a 10-year-old child showed up in school with a tattoo.

Police say the friend, Brandon Brown, 31, did the tattoo with a mixture of ink and human ashes.

Brown does not hold a license to tattoo in Oklahoma, and the use of human ashes violates the law as well.

The mother, Suzanne Wilson, 31, faces a charge of felony child neglect.

Brown's charges include unlawful tattooing and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is apparently not yet in custody.

An affidavit filed in the case indicates that police found roaches, both live and dead, mixed in with the tattooing equipment and a box of disposable gloves.

A warrant for the pair was issued in August, but police arrested Wilson, along with her husband and another man, after a drug raid on a home Thursday.

The D.A. has not yet filed the drug charges, but they face complaints of manufacturing methamphetamine, child endangerment, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
