Reports say the incidence of English among al-Qaeda rebels is rising quickly making it harder and harder to keep them from blending into the fabric of the country.
European intelligence thinks a large number of the new threat is based in Syria but there are worries they are spreading.
Some recent al-Qaeda videos have also been in English leading to fears that the language training is branching out and will become an even greater threat when they come to the United States.
Another concern is written material in English.
al-Qaeda publications are coming out of the Arabian Peninsula including an issue of an on-line magazine called Insipre, an entirely English monthly.
Among the articles in the magazine has been "How to Make a Bomb in the Kitchen of Your Mom."
