McVeigh's car to find home at OKC Memorial Museum

The Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum has announced that as part of a large renovation project, it has acquired the getaway car Timothy McVeigh was driving when he was captured just hours after the bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in 1995.

The blast killed 168 people and launched the modern era of terror in the United States.

The exhibit is part of a $5 million project that will bring some big changes to the museum and memorial.

It will also include the camera from the OHP trooper's patrol vehicle, and the video it captured as he pulled McVeigh over.

A new glass-enclosed balcony will overlook the memorial as well.

The updates to the facility will begin this fall.
