KOWLOON BAY, Hong Kong - Workers say the woman spent nearly every night at the restaurant, so they weren’t surprised when she came in Friday night.
However, they were shocked when it turned out, she was dead.
Even more shocking, restaurant patrons downed their Bic Mac’s and fries without having a clue they were eating next to a lifeless body. Workers say the woman almost never ordered food, so they weren’t surprised when she asked only for water and then seemed to be sleeping.
The Evening Standard reports McDonalds claims being accustomed to the woman is why they didn’t try to wake or move her. “In order to provide a pleasant dining environment, we would not disturb our customers,” a release began. “But our service will be offered promptly upon request.”
The restaurant was closed for cleaning and disinfecting after the body was taken to a mortuary for burial preparation.
That particular location is open 24-hours per day and McDonalds says that won’t change. “We welcome everyone to visit our restaurants any time.”
