Floyd and Margaret Nordhagen did just about everything together. When Floyd began having a hard time cutting the grass Margaret got out and helped him push the mower.
They were inseparable, all the way up to their death.
The couple were driving when Floyd pulled out in front of a truck. Their car was hit and both were killed.
When troopers arrived on the scene they were touched to find the couple still holding hands.
"You don't see that everyday," a trooper told KREM 2. "I don't know if they were holding hands before he passed, or if she grabbed him afterward but it doesn't matter," a friend added.
"They would have been holding hands if they could, so that's the way we all want to remember them."
The driver of the truck and his passenger were not hurt.
92 year old Floyd and 88 year old Margaret will be mourned by four kids and 11 grandkids along with 23 great-grandkids.
The pair were on the way to a store to buy cat food when the accident happened.
Friends are sharing stories of the loving couple to honor their memory and encourage others to live like they did.
One person remembered that Floyd told him he wouldn’t let a day go by without giving Margaret a hug and kiss.
