Joey Prusak was serving the blind customer when the man dropped a $20 bill from his wallet.
The woman behind the man quickly picked up the bill and put it in her purse.
Prusak responded quickly asking the woman to give the cash back, When she said no, he sent her packing.
“I told her, ‘Ma’am, you can either return the $20 bill or you can leave the store, because I’m not going to serve someone as disrespectful as you.'"
The woman left hungry and Prusak competed his act of decency by going to the blind man’s table and giving him $20 out of his own pocket.
"I was just doing what I thought was right," Prusak told WCCO-TV in Minneapolis. "I did it without even really thinking about it."
Another customer who was watching that day emailed the store to praise the young man.
That’s when Prusak became kind of famous, even getting a call from the man who owns Dairy Queen’s parent company Berkshire Hathaway. A man named Warren Buffett.
"He called and thanked me for being a role model for all the other employees and people in general," Prusak beamed.
Joey has become a local celebrity in Minneapolis with customers coming by and leaving him sizable tips.
But he’s not keeping that money, he says it all goes to charity.
