Man tries to swipe a young child, gets caught by witnesses

KRMG has learned a man high on meth, tried to swipe a small child from their yard Saturday night.

Tulsa police say the incident started around 7:20 p.m.

Multiple witnesses told officers Grant Frisbie first entered a random car without permission and sat down.  A few moments later, he exited the car and tried to act like nothing happened.

Police say he began walking down the street near Pine and Yale, when he saw the child playing and picked him up and tried to run away.

Frisbie quickly dropped the child when neighbors yelled at him.

When officers arrived at the scene, they were able to quickly track down Frisbie.  He appeared to be intoxicated.

Frisbie confessed to police he had injected meth.

The suspect was then taken to the Tulsa County Jail, where he faces counts of kidnapping, burglary, and public intoxication.
