Man is shot by son in Walmart parking lot

A father is accidentally shot in the back Saturday morning by his son at an Arkansas Walmart.

Russellville police say they received the call around 11 a.m.

An unknown-aged boy was using an unsecured shotgun as leverage while trying to pull himself into a pickup truck.

During this time, the gun accidentally went off and his father was hit.

Police say he was transported to an area hospital where his injuries are not expected to be life threatening.
