TULSA, Okla. - Tulsa Police sex crimes detectives arrest a 29-year-old man accused of sending sexual text messages to a 14-year-old boy then arranging to meet the teen.
Investigators tell KRMG that, on December 12, 2013, officers were contacted by the victim’s parent.
The 14 year old boy had received multiple "sexts" from an adult male, later identified as 29-year-old Tyler Long.
Over a two week period, detectives used the victim’s cell phone and exchanged multiple text messages with the suspect.
On Thursday, the suspect arranged to meet the detective, who he believed was the 14 year old, near 71st and Memorial.
Long was arrested when he arrived at the location.
Long faces charges of Lewd/Indecent Proposals to a Child and Attempted Lewd Molestation. Police say additional charges are possible.
