Man once accused of murder now charged with molestation

(TULSA)- Members of the Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force arrested Roy Lee Matheney Friday.

Sex crimes detectives launched the investigation in March.

They now believe Matheney had been sexually molesting two 14-year-old boys for a couple of years.

In 2008, Matheney was charged with first-degree murder in the killing of Guan Williams.

Prosecutors say he chased and assaulted Williams before the woman, who was with him, stabbed him to death.

The charge was reduced and Matheney was sentenced to five years.

Matheney is now charged with four counts of lewd molestation.
