Man gets life sentence for lewd molestation of a child

A man is sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty of molesting a child.

Washington County court records show Adam Horton was found guilty of one count of lewd molestation and was found not guilty of rape.

The jury recommended a life sentence.

He was arrested last July on one complaint of first-degree rape and two complaints of lewd molestation.  Court records show the incidents centered around a five and eight-year-old.

Horton will also have to pay the victim's an undisclosed amount of compensation.
