Man covered in blood screams "I've been shot"

Traffic was halted briefly in the area of  43rd and Riverside Saturday night, when a man standing outside of his car claimed he had been shot.

Tulsa police say they received the call around 6:45 p.m.

The unidentified victim was covered in blood when officers arrived at the scene.

Whether or not he had actually been shot wasn't verified right away.

A few hours later, officers confirmed the man hadn't been shot.

Police say the man had been involved in a fight with a second person, and was badly beaten.

No word if any arrests have been made.
