Man confesses to shaking baby in Broken Arrow

A 21-year-old man has been charged with child abuse injury.

This comes after Cody Walker’s 2-month-old girl suffered a fractured skull. Broken Arrow police say Walker tried to excuse the injury as an accident.

“He explained that he had accidentally bumped her head into a cabinet,” an officer said.  “A bump into a cabinet doesn’t cause one of the most severe skull fractures that I have ever seen.”

Investigators add Walker later changed his story and eventually confessed to shaking his child and striking her head on a cabinet at his place.

The baby is said to be recovering thanks to the quick help from emergency responders.
