Man asks for directions is robbed, murdered

Robert Franklin and his friend were lost on the streets of Chicago and decided to stop and ask for directions.
It was the last thing Robert ever did.
Franklin was shot and killed by the same man they asked for help.
The Cook County Coroner's office says Franklin, who is from Blytheville, Ark., was in the passenger seat of the car that his friend was driving.
The man they asked to help jumped in the backseat of the car and pulled out a gun.
Officer Jose Estrada told the Chicago Sun-Times the bad guy took all their money and then "as he is getting out he turns around and shoots him four times in the back."
Franklin's friend immediately took him to a local hospital but it was too late.
Robert was pronounced dead a few minutes after arrival.
Cops were in the early stages of trying to pinpoint where the robbery and murder took places so they can begin an investigation.
