Man arrested in burglary at Brookside liquor store

Tulsa police have a man in custody after the burglary of a Brookside liquor store.

The suspect, 18-year old Tre Clinchers, allegedly broke a window to get inside the Old Village Wine and Spirits store at 1327 East 41st.

When someone entered the business at about 12:34 a.m. Thursday, they tripped an alarm.

The owner of the  business and the police were notified.

When police arrived and saw the hole in the window, they began a search with a police canine and found an intoxicated man a short distance away.

Clinchers asked an officer for a bandage for a cut on his hand.

Clinchers was checked out by EMSA before being taken to jail.

Police are looking for two other males who are also suspects in the break-in.

News On 6 photojournalist Gary Kruse says officers also recovered four bottles of liquor including two bottles of wine, one bottle of rum and one bottle of vodka that were returned to the store.

The owner said that this was about the third time in 14 years that someone has tried to break in and that this was the first time that someone has been able to do it.

There were a few other bottles of liquor that were broken when the chunks of concrete came through the window.
