HICKORY, NC - When officers arrived, Phillip Norman was asleep in his car.
However, earlier that night, Norman was seen stumbling around a parking lot and carrying on a heck of a conversation with several bushes and shrubs.
Reports in the News Herald say police in Hickory, North Carolina got a call from a store manager who was concerned when he saw Norman acting strangely.
Cops charged Norman with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, but that was only the beginning.
Police discovered Norman had active warrants for felony larceny, and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance from another county.
Norman allowed authorities to search the car. They found a spoon and needles, but it's not known if he was under the influence of intoxicants of any kind.
