Man arrested after pharmacy robbery in south Tulsa

Police have arrested a man they say robbed a south Tulsa pharmacy late Monday.

The call came in about 9:50 p.m. and officers responded to the CVS Phamracy located at 7041 S. Yale Ave.

A white male had approached the counter and given the pharmacist a note demanding prescription pills.

He reportedly told the pharmacist no one would get hurt if he got the drugs.

The pharmacist complied and gave the man several pills, after which the suspect left the store without further incident.

Just more than an hour later Officer J. Grafton spotted a possible suspect at a nearby QuikTrip, 5151 E. 71st St.

Police say the victim positively identified the suspect, Andrew Cockrell, 20.

He was arrested and faces a possible charge of robbery by force or fear.

No one was hurt in the incident.
