A former Tulsa County Jail inmate worker is booked himself on Saturday.
Tulsa police say Timothy John Wayne Howard was arrested for robbery by force near 10th and Lewis around 6 p.m.
Howard approached a man and began throwing porcelain tiles at him. Police say he also pushed the victim and chased after him.
During the incident, the victim was able to stab Howard a couple of times in self-defense with a knife. Police say the suspect had been stabbed three times.
Howard did get away with a small amount of cash. Police say he was taken into custody a short time later.
The jail says he was an inmate worker in the booking department until a week ago.
