Male drowns in Osage County

Sat, June 26, 2017 — A 22-year-old male drowned in Osage County Friday afternoon.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports Anthony Scarpatti was swimming at Twin Points Swimming Beach on Skiatook Lake.

“The victim swam out to the marker buoy and when he was returning to shore, he went under for unknown reasons and failed to resurface,” OHP said.

His body was recovered about an hour later, 20 yards from the shoreline.

Nobody else was hurt in the incident.
