TULSA, Okla. - UPDATE
Tulsa Public Schools officials say no gun was found at Nathan Hale High School and the facility ended its lockdown at 11:30 a.m.
The school near 21st and Sheridan went on lockdown at 10:00 a.m. Thursday morning when school administrators received information that someone may have brought a gun into the building.
TPS spokesman Chris Payne tells KRMG the district is handling the situation internally, utilizing campus police and has not notified the Tulsa Police Department.
Payne had no information about the nature of the tip that led to the search for the weapon.
Classes continue as scheduled and there have been no evacuations.
