Latest rain has helped with Tulsa's drought

Sun, April 23, 2017 — This weekends soggy weather has quieted talk about the Tulsa area being in a drought.

In fact, National Weather Service Meteorologist Robert Darby says Tulsa is beating the curve.

“Over the weekend we saw rainfall over three inches,” Darby said.  “That put us for the year up around 3.31 inches above normal.  It appears the drought conditions are definitely waning at this point.”

There is no rain in the forecast for Sunday.  Expect to see sunny skies, with a high around 69 degrees.

Our next chance for storms will be Tuesday night.
