Forecasters are strongly recommending that residents of a large swath of the nation's midsection and the South should keep an eye on the sky and pay attention to weather warnings this weekend.
A volatile mix of conditions is expected to spawn tornadoes, hail and heavy rain.
The system is expected to start Saturday in the Plains and then move through the Deep South by Sunday.
The KRMG Storm Center will be activated if conditions warrant.
