Known gang member sought in vicious assault on woman

Deputies hope the public can help them track down a man whom they say committed a vicious assault on a woman last Sunday.

It happened about 3:00 a.m. Oct. 6 in the 5300 block of West 2nd Street.

They describe the suspect, Corey Lamont Reese, also known as "C Reese," as a 36-year-old African American man, approximately six feet tall and weighing about 175 pounds.

They say he may be driving a "silver utility vehicle" with unknown tag.

The woman went to the hospital in critical condition.

Reese also has warrants out of Tulsa County for possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction.

Maj. Shannon Clark of TCSO tells KRMG law enforcement considers Reese a "certified gang member."

"Anybody with information concerning this investigation or the whereabouts of Corey Lamont Reese is asked to call the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigative Division at 918-596-8661. Individuals having contact with Reese should contact 911 immediately," Clark said.
