The foundation is providing the money to help over 100 Tulsa programs.
More than $4 million will help human service organizations like DHS, Meals on Wheels and Habitat for humanity.
Another $1.5 million will support community health needs.
This announcement comes not long after the George Kaiser Family Foundation donated more than $2 million toward early education and other school needs in Tulsa.
It’s been a busy time for the foundation, which is also taking a major part in developing a new park along the Arkansas River known as A Gathering Place for Tulsa.
The Kaiser Foundation purchased the land for the park and will donate another $150 million to help build the park.
