Jenks graduates over 700 students

In spite of the weather warnings students and their families from the Jenks 2013 graduating class gathered at the Mabee Center for their graduation ceremony. Students we talked to weren't concerned with the forecast since the building itself is a safe area in case of dangerous weather. Mabee Center security also confirmed that the auditorium itself where the graduation was being held was a safe area. Students were told that in case there was an emergency that they were to move into the stands for safety. As it turned out, weather conditions abated around the time that the graduation ceremony began. After graduation Seniors were headed to Gradfest at the Jenks middle school to celebrate.
