'James Bond' skydiver from London games opening killed in wingsuit accident

Mark Sutton became the toast of England when he parachuted into the opening of the 2012 Summer games as James Bond.
This week Sutton was killed when he clipped a mountain ridge during a wingsuit jump.
Wingsuits are the aerodynamic jumpsuits with large areas of cloth that catch air somewhat like a parachute allowing the “diver” to glide.
Most wingsuit jumpers fly initially and then parachute to the ground from a specified height.
Sutton and another flyer began their jump at nearly 11,000 feet over mountains in Switzerland before the other man lost sight of Sutton and the accident occurred.

The event was organized by EPIC-TV, they released a statement saying "rescue services arrived quickly and determined that Mr. Sutton had immediately died upon impact." They called his death "a tragic loss".

Sutton played the role of James Bond in the Olympic opening while he good friend and fellow flyer Gary Connery played Queen Elizabeth in the key moment of the opening ceremonies.
