Ice thaw to begin, 50's possible on Saturday

The ice from last week's storm should begin to thaw for the Tulsa area this week.

National Weather Service meteorologist David Jankowski tells us Tulsa should start getting above freezing starting Tuesday afternoon.

"Looks like we should be able to warm above freezing (with) highs maybe around 40, low 40's. We should be able to start to thaw out (and) melt some of the ice that we've had across the area," Jankowski said.

We're told that the 40's should stay with us for the rest of the work week, with the chance for temperatures to reach into the 50's on Saturday.
