Hundreds gather to remember OU legend Steve Davis

A Sooner legend is remembered for what he did on and off the field.

Hundreds packed First Baptist downtown to remember the life of Steve Davis a week after he was killed in a plane crash.

Former teammates coaches and friends took the stage at First Baptist to celebrate Davis' life.

Davis was remembered for three things this afternoon... faith,  family and friends.

Davis' son Bo told KRMG after the service that his dad's real legacy isn't on the gridiron. Bo says, "What was really special was watching him transition into being a grandfather. We called him Diddy. Seeing him with my kids was amazing."

Steve Davis was 60 years old.
