Huge gas line break closes Tulsa street

A gas line rupture near 193^rd street has closed the road between 41^st street and 51^st street in east Tulsa.

“We’ve got the street blocked for public safety because we still have 40 psi of natural gas blowing up in the air,” Tulsa firefighters told KRMG news.

Tulsa police are also on the scene as Oklahoma Natural Gas workers try to shut off the gas and repair the line.

Until then drivers should "not expect to come up 193^rd to the north all the way from 51^st street to 41^st street.

Several neighborhoods are affected but TFD says homeowners will be allowed into and out of the area.
