How you can help Oklahoma tornado victims

Oklahoman’s always come together in a crisis to pitch in and help our neighbors when they need it the most.

Since the devastation across our state began on Sunday, we have fielded hundreds of phone calls, text messages and Facebook posts from listeners like you who all have the same question: How can I help?

Cox Media Group Tulsa has the answer.

Tuesday night KRMG crews set up in the parking lot of our sister TV station FOX23 at 27th and Memorial to take donations.

A line of listeners pulled up to give everything from shaving cream to cash.

There's still plenty of room in the tractor-trailer donated by Roadmaster Drivers School.

KRMG crews will once again be taking donations Wednesday morning at our studios at 71st and Yale and due to the overwhelming response, we'll keep taking them until the cars stop coming.

Items needed right now:

  • MONEY
  • Large, durable trash bags
  • Rakes
  • Shovels
  • Wheelbarrows
  • Cases of duct tape
  • N95 dust masks
  • Small bottles of SPF 30 sunblock
  • Large emergency flashlights with batteries
  • First aid kits (cases designed for vehicles)
  • Sanitizer hand wipes
  • Clear safety glasses
  • Work gloves
  • Phone chargers (compatible with various android and blackberry phones)
  • Mosquito Repellant
  • Gatorade
  • Bottles of Water

You may also make a monetary donation at any of the 13 Yale Cleaners locations around Tulsa.

Make your check out to the Red Cross.

You can also donate cash or checks at any Regent Bank location, just tell them you want to donate to the "Oklahoma Tornado Relief Fund."
