Honoring military service of James Garner

Actor James Garner died on Saturday, July 19th after having a successful film and TV career that spanned more than 50 years.

Garner also served in the Korean War, and for his service he received two purple hearts.

To honor James Garner and his military service, Circle Cinema is showing "Murphy's Romance" through Thursday, July 31st.

All members of the military, both active and inactive, will get in for free to see the movie this week with proper identification.

"Murphy's Romance" was the only film that James Garner received an Oscar nomination as a small town pharmacist who eventually falls in love with Emma Moriarty, played by Sally Fields.

Garner was born in Norman, Oklahoma in 1928.

In 1986, Garner was inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame and in 1990 he was induced into the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City.

"Murphy's Romance" plays Sunday, Tuesday, & Thursday at 12:50 pm and 5:30 pm.  It will also show on Monday and Wednesday at 3:10 pm and 8 pm.
