Homeless man seen assaulting elderly victim

A homeless man is seen bugging people with aggressive begging Wednesday afternoon.

Tulsa police say an unidentified 66-year-old man tried to defuse the situation.

A witness told officers the man went over to Afolabi Sulaiman and asked him to move on to a different location.

Police say Sulaiman didn't appreciate being told what to do.  He's accused of pushing the victim.

Sulaiman didn't stop there.

The witness told officers the suspect punched the victim in the face multiple times, causing him to fall to the ground.

Officers arrived at the scene and took Sulaiman into custody.  He faces one count of aggravated assault and battery.

The victim was transported to an area hospital, and officers say he doesn't even remember the assault because of the blows to his head.
