(SEWICKLEY, Pa.) — An Oklahoma man was fatally shot by police who responded to a burglar alarm at a home in an upscale Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania suburb.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed the 27-year-old Poteau man’s death.
Police say Robert Brooks went to a home after being put on a restraining order to never visit.
Sewickley police answered the alarm Monday night about 9:30.
Online court records show Brooks had been charged with making threats last month.
Allegheny County police are investigating and say the man was shot after scuffling with officers.
Police had responded to a domestic disturbance at the home earlier Monday, but say the residents were gone when Brooks tripped the alarm.
