"Hilarious" note employee left on locked door after boss was late to work

The manager of the gas station was running late, very late.

When she got to the business, she found the doors locked and a large note that said;

"Hey boss, learn to be on time or at least communicate when you are going to be late. +1 hour with no phone call is unacceptable. As you can see, the doors are locked. I went home. Fire me if you must, but realize I walked out due to YOUR negligence."

The manager of the BP in Grand Rapids, Michigan told WXMI-TV her alarm didn't go off making her a half-hour late.

She went on to say she was surprised to find the note from “Joe,” and the locked doors.

She also told them the employee didn’t call anyone else before going home. It is interesting to note there is a “Help Wanted,” sign behind the one Joe put up.

The company wouldn’t talk about whether or not Joe still had a job, and the employee declined to offer comment.

The man who pulled up to get gas, Ryan Otthouse, snapped the picture.  He told the station, he thought it was “hilarious.”

BP might disagree, but what do you think?

Would you have done something like this? Did Joe overstep his bounds, or should he be fired?
