High-speed chase ends with stolen car rolling into front yard

A stolen vehicle ends up in a front yard after a Tulsa County deputy's high-speed chase.

We're told the chase started near 6300 East Haskell, when a deputy spotted an improper tag on an Acura sedan.

The deputy pursued the vehicle at speeds up to 70 mph before a sheriff's supervisor ordered the deputy to end the chase, but the driver slowed down and bailed out of the car near 500 South Darlington Avenue.

Tulsa County Sheriff's Captain John Bryant said, "Just after the deputy stopped chasing the vehicle the driver slowed down (and) bailed out and ran off on foot."

The vehicle was recovered for the owner, but the driver escaped around 11 p.m. Wednesday.
