Heads up drivers: Bridge replacement to affect traffic starting today

The $7 million project begins along Highway 11 in north Tulsa.

All lanes of the highway between 36th Street North and 46th Street North will be closed for several months as the work goes on. Drivers can take MLK Jr boulevard or north Peoria to avoid the mess. Drivers tol us, "it's probably going to be a pain in the butt, but it's good."

Another echoed that thought saying, "take a deep breath, relax, it'll be OK."

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation tell us this is the first of two bridges to be replaced in the area.
