Gun safety ad: ‘Don’t be a dumba**’

It revolves around the drafting of the amendments to the U.S. Constitution, specifically the 2nd Amendment.

An actor portraying Thomas Jefferson objects to the length of the original proposal saying it’s “a little long.”

“….The right to bear arms should not be infringed…as long as people aren’t being dumbasses about it.”

His compatriots argue that without that line, future generations won’t know that the right to own a gun “doesn’t give you the liberty to act like a dumbass with it.”

The comical commercial actually has a message behind it: the creators want people to go to their web site and take a pledge to be responsible with their firearms.
