You’ll need a wallet as heavy as the space rock to buy the new “Big Bang” pistol from Cabot guns.
The price tag is expected to crease $500,000 to $1,000,000 when the pistols go to auction later this year.
Pricey yes, but VERY cool.
"Cabot Guns brings the galaxy to your fingertips," a company release boasts. "Lay your hand on the rarest of materials and the finest of pistols."
Parts for the guns come from the 4.5 billion-year-old Gibeon meteorite that crashed down in Africa billions of years ago.
Fox News reports the "frame, trigger, slide and grips are made of the meteorite." Gibeon is primarily composed of "steel, aluminum and titanium. However, the meteorite's composition is about 80 percent iron."
Cabot relied on a laser scan before beginning the process of fashioning the parts. The matching guns, one for a right hander and the lefty, go on display next week at the SHOT Show in Las Vegas.
The public will get their first look in May.
