Girls say strange man tired to lure them from lemonade stand

Two girls set up a lemonade stand in midtown Tulsa outside a house near 36th and Harvard Tuesday when a strange situation sent them running indoors to safety.

The nine-year-old little girl and her 6-year-old friend say an older man, with round glasses and a beard, approached the lemonade stand and asked if they wanted to make some real money by coming to his studio to take pictures.

Lyle Barnett, the father of one of the girls, tells FOX23, "If you can stop in a neighborhood in the daylight and try to get a kid in your car, that's not right and I'm scared to death for my little girl because if anything happened to her I don't know what I would do."

Fortunately neighbors on his street are always on the lookout.

"The lady a couple of houses down from where they were has cameras and she caught that on film and I guess she took pictures of the car and everything and gave it to the police."

The man was driving a gold, four door sedan.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
