Giant mosquitos cause worry as spring and summer approach

They're called gallnipers and they don’t just bite, they bite hard. The “super” mosquitos are up to 20 times larger than a regular blood sucker and their bite is said to feel like a small stab wound.
The insects invaded Florida after Tropical storm Debby left standing water all over the state.
With heavy rainfall expected again this summer entomologists worry the critters could be back in force.
Making matters worse is the fact that gallnippers seem to be resistant to most bug repellents and will also strike other animals including fish.
Florida can’t seem to catch a break these days.
There has been a boom in the population of Burmese pythons and the state has battled deadly sinkholes.
