Giant message written in the sand helps rescue lost woman

Lynette Bond had car trouble and it cost her four days in the wilderness.

Bond’s car broken down near the Snowy River National Park in Australia.

A walker found the car a few hours later and discovered a note that said "gone for help to McKillops Bridge 2.45 pm 4/3 Lynette.”

After wandering for a couple of days Lynette decided the best way to get attention would be to write the word “help” as big as she could in the sand.

She did and a police helicopter spotted it and found her lying next to it making sand angels.

Police say Bond is in stable condition and they haven’t been able to figure out exactly what she ate or where she found water to be able to survive.

Making things even worse for Bond, searchers said she was in an area with little to no cell phone reception.

Lynette did show a pretty good sense of humor when she told her rescuers "think I'll buy a bicycle.”
