Funeral set for police canine

A funeral is set for Thursday to honor an Oklahoma City police canine officer that was killed while on duty.

Officer Kye died after apprehending a suspect who had been involved in a high-speed chase on Sunday.

22-year old Mark Salazar is accused of stabbing the canine during the arrest.

Kye died after surgery on Monday.

The funeral will be held with full police honors at the First Southern Baptist Church on Sooner Road.
