Freeze Watch in effect for Tulsa County

The National Weather Service office in Tulsa has issued a Freeze Weather Watch that will be in effect from Thursday night into Friday morning.

News On 6 Chief Meteorologist Travis Meyer tells us winter weather has moved into the area along with a cold front.

The cold air will continue to move into the area with temperatures hanging around 40 this morning and upper 30's through the afternoon.

Expect gusty north winds with off and on periods of cold rain that will make it a miserable day for the second day of May.

We do see a chance of some winter-like precipitation coming up from about 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Thursday into Friday.

This would be the latest snowfall ever for this late in the season.
