Former University of Oklahoma running back De'Mond Parker was charged on Tuesday with trafficking drugs.
Tulsa court records show Parker was charged with one count of trafficking in illegal drugs and unlawful possession of a controlled drug. A court date for Parker wasn't listed.
Police say Parker was taken into custody on June 19th around 9:30 p.m., near 36th and Peoria.
Parker was a passenger in a vehicle stopped by police after the driver failed to stop at a stop sign. Police say this when they found 28 grams of crack cocaine, marijuana, and a machete.
The former running back faces counts of trafficking crack cocaine and possession of marijuana.
Parker was taken to the Tulsa County Jail where he bonded out early Thursday morning.
He's best known for playing three years at OU. Parker was also drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 1999.
