Family members didn’t think much of it even though they hadn’t heard from Decarol Deloney-Cain since July 3rd.
It was normal for her job as a flight attendant for United Airlines to keep her traveling for days at a time.
The Chicago Sun-Times says concern began when Cain didn't show up for a flight.
A search ended when her decomposing body was found in the trunk of a car in Gary, Indiana.
"She was a very vivacious woman," her brother Todd Deloney told the Sun-Times.
“When you met the girl you were never a stranger,” he finished.
Authorities say the body had several stab wounds and blunt force trauma to the head. The woman was identified by the serial numbers on her breast implants.
So far, there are no suspects.
