A National Transportation Board spokesman says all five people aboard a small plane that crashed near an airport north of Denver have died.
He says the single-engine Piper PA-46 went down a few hundred yards from the Erie Municipal Airport runway just before noon on Sunday.
The NTSB is investigating the crash.
Erie is about 20 miles north of Denver.
