Female rowing team goes nude for fund raising calendar

The calendar features the women from the University of Warwick Rowing Society and it has sure stirred reaction.

The ladies use the profits from the calendar to support cancer research despite loud complaints from feminists.

The work features 17 of the athletes ranging from the age of 18 to 21 as they work and play by the River Avon in Coventry, UK.

The Huffington Post wrote "groups of women posing semi-naked...doesn't sound a fundraising initiative for charity, it just sounds tacky.

The Telegraph reports the group did something similar last year though not quite as racy and 21 year old Hettie Reed said the comments led them to do even more.

"The criticism we received last year just spurred us on to do it again as we were given so much positive feedback all in all.

Organizers admitted the girls had a good time and so did a few sportsmen who happened to be on the banks.

"We had to hold towels around the girls too because we kept giving the passing fishermen an eyeful. I think they loved it.

The calendar has brought in over $950 for the Macmillan Cancer Center with more coming in and 300 pre-orders from across the USA.

The mens team at the school has done the same thing in the past.

WARNING:  You can see the calendar here but there is partial nudity involved.
