TULSA - Since the beginning of the current fiscal year last October, the federal government has lost nearly half of its deportation cases against suspected illegal immigrants.
It's been a growing trend since 2009, according to the figures released by the Transaction Records Clearing House (TRAC) which collects, collates, and reports federal prosecutions.
Last year, the government won about 52 percent of its cases.
Some conservatives and Republicans have accused the Obama administration of being lax on illegal immigrants.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has deported nearly two million people during President Obama's administration.
TRAC reports that there are currently some 360,000 cases pending.
